Hina Rabbani Khar is Not Contesting from NA-177

Hina Rabbani Khar is not contesting from NA-177Muzaffargarh: Hina Rabbani Khar, the most stylish and youngest foreign minister of Pakistan is not contesting upcoming general elections. Khar who is daughter of famous politician Noor Rabbani was elected as member Parliament from NA-177 Muzaffargarh-II on PML(Q) ticket. Noor Rabbani Khar brought her forward because he was not a graduate. She served as minister of state for economic affairs under Shaukat Aziz.

In 2008, Hina Rabbani Khar returned to Parliament from NA-177 on PPP ticket. She served as minister for finance and foreign affairs in the previous government. She is famous more for her style and elegance than for diplomacy skills. Now she has announced that she is not contesting elections and is only a covering candidate for Malik Noor Rabbani Khar who is contesting on PPP ticket.

Hina Rabbani Khar was challenged by Jamshed Dasti, a former PPP lawmaker from neighboring NA-178. Jamshed Dasti filed nomination papers against her as independent candidate but is disqualified from contesting elections on grounds of possessing a fake bachelors degree.
