There is now a higher quality image of the logo Warner Bros/DC used to announce the Man of Steel sequel. With them reading from The Dark Knight Returns to announce the movie, saying it inspired this movie and the bat logo matching how it looked in that book….what exactly are they doing? I get them using the Man of Steel sequel to introduce a new Batman, I just don’t get all of Dark Knight Returns references. They certainly aren’t going to adapt that book and, if Man of Steel is supposed to take place in the same Nolan Universe as the Bat films, then the plot of TDKR doesn’t fit. I guess questions are all we will have for a while. It’s a bold move by Warner Bros/DC because a Superman/Batman movie will certainly garner lots and lots of attention.
