Fashion Magazine
Hey hey! So I'll skip intro and start with a little story. I went shopping the other day, and believe me Berlin has some really amazing places for this; from über high end to mass marketed stores, you name it. So my plan was to buy a suitcase (which I did) and usually I like to go to TK MAXX for these (they have Swiss Army, CK & co. always on sale). So while there I started browsing the isles a bit and found one pretty IRO jacked discounted from 490€ to a mere 23€. Yes, you read that well 23€. And then I though, well that's a steal; checked it out, no defects, a gorgeous Marsala (yeah, another word for burgundy, oxblood & co.) color, simple, chic, my taste. Then I checked the interior label (the one with all the material info, washing temperature and all.) and guess what 100% Polyester made in China. What!? Safe to say I left it exactly where I found it and left the store with my new suitcase. Don't get me wrong, I like to believe that I do understand fashion and to some extent I know that sometimes when buying high end you pretty much buy the brand but to get the same quality (or even lower) than you would get in H&M or Zara, is beyond my understanding. Now I've always been a bit reluctant to buy or collaborate with Asian companies because of my perceived lack of quality in their clothes but I decided to give it a try. Much to my surprise, this warm, chunky knit, oversized sweater from Sheinside turned out to be quite a steal (65% cotton). Otherwise, my outfit is plain and simple, just as I like it. On another note, next week I'll be back home for a couple of days and the week after my home redecoration process begins *excited*.
