Hello MJO PR & Social Media

By Verybusymama @verybusymama
This weekend I realized that I miss working. I mean, I miss my calling. I miss doing what I was meant to do. I miss being a PR, working in Social Media, managing a team, pitching, writing strategies and seeing them come to life. Stressful at times, HELL YES! But I loved (love) it!
I was so sure this was for me, that in 2006 I got my Master's Degree in Public Relations and Public Communication from the University of Westminster in London. Toughest year ever. No sleep, stressed out, but worth every penny.
Sure, I had my hardships and some very unusual (to say it kindly) clients. After all, for a few years there I did PR for a client in the UK funeral industry. How's that for some grave matters?
Believe me, after organizing and PRing the annual Cemetery of the Year Awards  (It's real! Google my name and cemeteries if you don't believe me), working with UK Defense and Military clients (hello bomb blast mitigation;  loved writing THAT press release), securing coverage for the British Christmas Tree Growers Association and implementing social media and blogger outreach campaigns for Crufts and The New Ice Age, I know I can work with pretty much anyone.
Hello MJO PR & Social Media That's me, six months preggers and handing out the award  for Best Pet Burial. Told you I wasn't kidding!
This weekend, after doing some small projects here and there, I have decided to go full steam ahead and set up shop. Yep yep. This mama is in business!
