HCL ME U1: a Budget Tablet Under 10K

HCL introduced itself in tablet market with the launch of two budget tablets named as HCL ME U1 and MyEdu powered with Ice Cream Sandwich which will be available from April 2012. Now let’s talk about the technical specifications and features of both tablets.

Firstly coming to HCL ME U1, it is equipped with a 7 inch capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. 1 GHz processor along with 512 MB RAM makes it faster while 4 GB internal storage memory looks quite less which may be compensated using a memory stick up to 32 GB. HCL has fixed a price tag of Rs. 7,999 for ME U1 tablet.

Now coming to MyEdu tablet which is mainly focused for students is available in two variants K12 and Higher Education (HE). K12 version of MyEdu tablet is equipped with a lot of educational applications such as e-books, NCERT books and videos while HE version is targeted for higher education. K12 variant is available at a price tag of Rs. 9,999 and HE available at Rs. 11,499.
