My daughter’s current room and chandelier. It’s coming with us.
In roughly three weeks, my husband and I will own a new home. I will miss the home we’ve made together. Our kids came home from the hospital in this abode, and we have lovingly made this property reflect who we are. We have carefully selected the décor that makes our house feel like our home. I’ll miss my upstairs office that’s very feminine and where I spent countless hours earning my MFA degree and writing “Beneath the Mimosa Tree.”

Our new home has a very nice office on the main level, so, fingers crossed, that’s where “Baseball Girl” will find its way to completion. But it will need one particular accessory to help it come to fruition.

Yep. I will miss a lot about our current home, but truthfully, I will really, really miss my chandeliers.
Not to worry. I’ve already ordered two for over my new bar, and I’ve broken the news to my husband that the ceiling fan will be coming down in the dining area and will be replaced by a new, spectacular chandelier.
Chandeliers make me happy. It’s that simple.

I’ve purchased many chandeliers over the years, and some will be left to the new owners to enjoy.
Chandeliers have an elegance to them, a sense of class, and tons of personality. Each one is a statement piece; even my daughter has one in her bedroom that’s adorable (a plug-in one that will relocate with us, as will the pink one from my office). Luckily for me, my husband doesn’t mind these chandeliers.

I don’t even have to remind him of the great toast that was made by our lovely groomsman, Joey, at our wedding. He said, and it remains true today: “Happy wife, happy life.”
All it takes is a chandelier or two.
