Steaming mugs of tea for the bride and groom
I love this wedding from photographer Sam Clayton and I’m delighted to be sharing these photographs of Sarah and John-Paul’s wedding day with you.
A biker bride and groom?
The motorbikes caught my eye first of all, and then the wedding details stole my heart – I love the warmth that flows through the day, from the rich oranges in Sarah’s bouquet to the steaming tea cups (so chunky! A refreshing change from vintage dainty ones!) at the roadside caff.
Most of all, the warmth in the bride and groom’s eyes as they look at one another could take the chill of the coldest January day!

Wedding table plan
Sarah’s sister is a graphic designer and took care of all the stationery for the wedding reception. I love the bright splashes of red on the table plan!

Lovely warm wedding bouquet for a January wedding
The flowers are from Dalton Square Florist in Lancaster. I love the warming orange and red tones, and the little berries are really pretty.

Yummy wedding cupcakes with bright orange flowers
Sam asked me to credit her second shooter, wedding photographer Hannah Dornford-May, for images of the muffins and table decorations. Hannah… you’re making me so hungry with this one! Yum!

Thank you to wedding photographer Sam Clayton for allowing me to publish this gorgeous wedding day on the English Wedding blog. I love the subtly quirky details in the photography… from the ducks to the motorbikes and back! And Sam captures some wonderfully emotional moments between Sarah and John-Paul too. I love everything about this wedding day.
It’s especially nice to have a Lake District wedding day on the blog – the Lakes will always be home for me, and just maybe I’ll park my little Vespa on that bridge with the big boys on my way home one day!
