Happy Presidents Day - the American Woman

Any federal holiday and Red, White and Blue comes to my mind inadvertently. This President's day was no exclusion, but the hardest part of this perception was to curate an outfit that was not only weather-appropriate but also less predictable- in the sense it was not around the basic blue denim, white shirt, and red shoes.


For my best, I could think of this skirt/trench combo which I was willing to bring to the blog past fall, but somehow it never happened. The only difference, if it happened last fall would have been in the pair of shoes I would have chosen. As opposed to what I would have worn in the fall outfit, I am wearing an over-the-knee-high pair of boots to combat that cold in my winer look. Also the addition of that pug sweater made the look all the more sweeter.
 I was feeling a bit extra preppy, so the the half-hair-up look stepped in to finish the look. What do you think of this look???
