I'm engaged! It's such a weird thing to type or say. But I'm so excited to start this journey with James! He surprised me, that's for sure. We had talked about marriage, but I didn't expect to get engaged until Spring semester. Little did I know, he told me this to throw me off.
Because we were spending Thanksgiving with my parents, we were with mom when James told me he wanted to go out to Prince Michel Winery to try one of their wines and do a tasting. I humored him because I knew he was really looking forward to it. We got there and took a self guided tour to see the winery, browsed the gift shop, and he had his tasting (which he LOVED.) At the end of it, he wanted to go out and see the vineyard and the grounds. Though it was freeeezzzzzing out, snow coming down, we walked over to the beginning of the vines. He was a few steps ahead of me so he called me over between two of the vines and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
Today is absolutely one of the happiest days of my life. He made this holiday so much more special. We were able to celebrate with family afterwards and share it with friends. Happy Thanksgiving Y'all! xoBCC
