Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
I've never been one for New Year resolutions. That is because I am full of constant resolutions. Always on the chase for the next big thing. That career, the travel, the house. There is a book length to-do list in my head. So much fun to be had, so many experiences, too little time. I often daydream of living many different lives in my meager 80 years (if I'm lucky at my pace). Surely a girl can be a neuroscientist, a business owner, a writer, and a photographer, all in one life. Surely, she can set foot in every country of this world, at least once, and still afford to purchase her very own home. Is that too much to ask?!
The 'jack of all trades, master of none' phrase whistles through my ears. A constant reminder that I should probably just pick one life and run for it. When our parents told us we could be whatever we wanted when we grew up, they forgot to mention that there isn't time to do it all.
The likeliness is, I will always be this way. I will always chase excitement and new challenges and multiple lives in this humble one I have been given. Goals are a great way of getting what you want. But if I was to make one New Year resolution, and offer one piece of unsolicited advice, it would be to spend the occasional day with no resolutions at all.
You'll get that career when you figure out what you want and go for it. He or she will show up when they are good and ready, and your arse is fine the way it is. A day without resolutions is a day with a clear mind. And a clear mind is the golden ticket. It is the answer to everything.
Enjoy a few snaps of late! I've missed you all!
Much love XXX
