Posted on the 12 May 2014 by Fleetmatics @fleetmatics

National Small Business Week kicks off today on May 12, 2014, according to The U.S. Small Business Administration. The week begins today and has events this week in San Francisco, Kansas City, Boston, and Washington DC.

In honor of Fleetmatics’ customers, a few business owners are sharing their insights with us. Additionally, Fleetmatics top executives are pledging more than 500 hours to ACP AdvisorNet, an online mentoring program for veterans seeking career advice.

See below for some key insights from Fleetmatics customers:

Shawne Portman, Co-Owner, South Bay Sedan and Limo Service, San Francisco, CA:

In our business, word of mouth spreads quickly so it’s important for us to ensure a positive experience for our customers. We rely on fleet management technology to ensure our customers’ needs always come first and, in return, we’ve received awards for the high caliber of our customer service.

Ben Stallings, President, FatBoy Electric, Kansas City, MO:

As one of the fastest growing electrical service providers for industrial and commercial industries in the Midwest, on-point project management is a must. From scheduling building inspections to warehouse wiring installations to around-the-clock emergency services, our team has to be equipped with a mobile workforce solution to help quickly resolve any issues that may come up for contractors and construction teams.

Jason Case, Owner, Case Snow Management, Boston, MA:

My family has a proud entrepreneurial heritage of owning our own business that dates back two generations. As a business of nearly 250 employees during the winter season in a busy city like Boston, it’s important that we find solutions that enable each of us to provide a high caliber of service each day. Fleet management technology has been one such tool that’s enabled us to maximize our potential and tackle day-to-day business challenges.

Carroll Brasure, Owner, Brasure’s Pest Control, Selbyville, DE:

The best piece of business advice I’ve ever been given is to treat each customer like they are my mother.
