Hello everyone! Today is September 22'nd - which marks the Autumn equinox, often called as "fall". Autumn is a latin word that goes back to 1300's and is linked to when farmers harvested and gathered crops for the winter. The word "fall" became more popular in the 1600's when people started moving into cities - and they started referring to this season as "fall of the leaf" - when the leaves change colors and go from being green, to burning red, shining yellow and brilliant orange.
Among several other harvests, pumpkins ripen during fall, and I have a few quotes that makes me autumnrifically happy and to help me pause and enjoy the colors before winter begins. It is also the perfect time to bring color and warmth into your home.
O' pumpkin pie, your time has come 'round again and I am autumnrifically happy! ~Terri Guillemets
