Hannover: Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Philosophy of Science

ASSISTANTPROFESSORSHIP/LECTURERSHIP, FIXED TERM, IN PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE

at the Institute for Philosophy, Leibniz University Hannover.

The initial appointment is for three years, renewable for up to two
additional years.

START DATE
April 1, 2018 — earlier or later start dates are negotiable.

The Institute of Philosophy at the Leibniz University Hannover is seeking
applications for an assistant professorship/lecturership
(“Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/-in”, salary scale TV-L 13).
Area of specialization: Philosophy of physics; philosophy of climate
science or climate economics; or general philosophy of science.
Active participation in the DFG funded research training group “Integrating
Ethics and Epistemology of Scientific Research” is desirable.

To qualify for the position, applicants must have a PhD (or close to
completion) in philosophy.
