For Hannah and Jarred, things didn’t get off to a great start. They met at a bonfire and when Jarred asked Hannah for her number, she replied “I don’t give my number to thugs.” Judging off Jarred’s signature silver chain necklace, “I never imagined I would date a guy who wore something like that,” she said during our first meeting. But refusing to take no for an answer, Jarred grabbed Hannah’s phone to call his phone so he could get her number. From there, they couldn’t stop talking and two months later, Jarred told Hannah he knew one she would be his wife. Three and a half years later, Jarred planned a surprise trip to Gatlinburg, TN, to which he threw Hannah off by telling her he needed to head back home early for a job assignment that came up during their trip. Hannah, not happy, started texting her mom and his mom so upset that their vacation was cut short. But on their way out of town, Jarred stopped at a gorgeous mountain view to then surprise Hannah again with a bended knee and a ring asking her to marry him. Once Hannah said yes and “I’m sorry” for her attitude earlier, Jarred had one last surprise that they weren’t actually heading home, that they still had vacation time, and it had all been to throw her for a loop.
Now Hannah and Jarred are planning a vintage Southern wedding out at Jarred’s family ranch under the acres of sprawling oak trees with hanging Spanish moss. It was also the location where we also went to take their engagement photos with cowboy boots and an old classic vintage truck from the early 1900s. Here’s some of our favorites below!
