I opened my email this morning, as I do every morning and was rather shocked to find this email in question sat in my inbox.
I am not sure what post this reader has read, as he states I ask “Can a bipolar have kids”. I am bipolar and I do have 6 children, so personally its not a question I have asked. Yet he has targeted me personally.
What shocked me more than anything is a “man, father who says he has bipolar” has become so aggressive towards someone who does nothing but to try raise awareness of this illness.
“As if bipolar is a mystery or a fun thing to have” he states. I argue that actually bipolar is still very much a mystery and those suffering from this illness are often left mystified by the power of the mental illness itself. Is it fun? Well some of my manic moods have certainly been fun at the time, let me correct that, fun and dangerous. No there is no real fun.
While manic I do not go to seek help, the high is almost like an addiction, I have always wanted it too last. Yet it is not real.
Unlike this readers skills as “ a hacker for the US Government” I too have skills.
WOW, you act like you’re so happy you are bipolar and asking can i have kids, HUH. So I’m bipolar (ssdi and Military Disabled) and i have 4 kids, and i have never asked myself any of the stupid question you have posted…As if bipolar is a mystery or a fun thing to have….I also have some other skills, 20 years as a hacker for the US Government, and i find the way you exaggerate, misrepresent, and dramatize this is bull shit, and i will make sure your search engine forgets your site, and may crash your site and your email, still considering a super virus.
I wanted to show the email as I don’t hide away from negative comments left against myself or the blog. Perhaps this guy could have emailed more appropriately with his concern and not threaten to “hack me”, as then I would have taken the time to reply.
