Guy Fawks Blues

By Katieemay @katieemay1
Today, in the UK, is Bonfire Night of Guy Fawks night. Now you might be wondering what the hell I'm talking about; Guy Fawks is a guy who, in 1605, was part of the gunpowder plot and was arrested on the night of the 5th November under the House of Lords. To celebrate the Kings survival, people lit bonfires around London and months later the introduction of the Observance of 5th November Act enforced an annual public day of thanksgiving for the plot's failure.
Bonfire Night is one of my favorite nights; I always go to a local village where I went to primary school and have soup/hotdogs around the huge bonfire on the village green and then watch a spectacular firework show. They really are amazing!
Now, you're probably wondering where the 'blues' comes in. It's because this year is the first year of my life where I'm not able to go to the bonfire or any bonfire because I have to work :( But I wanted to share with you guys my normal tradition because there wouldn't be pictures.
Comment below with your bonfire night traditions!
