Guest Post – Tips to Feng Shui Your Home

By Vsudarsan

Hello, everyone! I have a guest post today on how to feng shui your spaces, from Jenny Humora, organizational expert, from Close5:

  • Declutter your space to clear out old energy to enable vibrant energy to flow freely. This is a foundational step in your feng shui decorating process that will allow for other feng shui remedies to work.
  • Your entrance way should be inviting for guests and chi. Create a "landing space" by adding an entrance way table or shelf for people to drop things off, and for positive vibes to land.
  • Shoes carry the bad chi from anywhere you've walked and thus, should not be kept in important rooms of the house like the entrance way or the bedroom. Shoes should be stored in a closed cabinet that will keep the bad chi (and smells!) in.
  • Fresh flowers foster positive chi; dried or fake flowers should be used in decorating sparingly or not at all since they are considered dead energy.
  • The dining room is a symbol of the family's abundance and wealth. Hang a mirror in your dining room to magnify the energy and multiply the warm, happy moments you spend with friends and family.Guest Post – Tips to Feng Shui Your Home
  • Mirror are very important in feng shui and symbolically double your wealth, health, and happiness. The dining room is a symbol of the family's abundance and wealth too. Hang a mirror in your dining room to magnify the energy and multiply the warm, happy moments you spend with friends and family.
  • Have a piece of furniture you constantly bump into or hurt yourself on? Get rid of it! Your home should feel safe and inviting, rather than dangerous and hazardous.
  • To create harmonious feng shui energy in your bedroom, finding a well-balanced location for your bed is key. As the centerpiece of the bedroom, make sure your bed is easily approachable from both sides with two bedside tables on each side and ideally, your feet should be facing towards the door.
