First of all, a big hello to Kirsty's readers and a massive thanks to Kirsty herself, for featuring me on her lovely blog. I am beyond excited! In the spirit of summer and the recent heatwave, I've prepared a must-have summer lip products post, full of gorgeous colors. Let's get started!
On super hot days like the ones we're experiencing lately, you don't want to go through all the trouble of applying a lipstick. For those times, I find the YSL Volupte Sheer Candy range to be perfect! I have the shade Succulent Pommegranate and it's an absolutely beautiful sheer rose-red, which is also very hydrating and will serve as a lip balm, too. The steep price will pay off, because these are really pleasant to wear and the packaging alone is a conversation starter.
Nothing pulls a look together like a lipstick, and believe me, you can use minimal makeup, just slap some lipstick on, and be ready to go – and you'll look like you spent a lot more time getting ready! Recently I've completely fallen in love with the Maybelline Vivids range, which is all the rage in the blogging world right now (and with good cause). I have two shades here – Fuchsia Flash is a gorgeous blue-toned pink, which will make your teeth look mega white. And the second one is Shocking Coral, a gorgeous true coral, which is a favorite of the likes of Essiebutton, and an absolute delight to wear, because of its amazing vibrancy. What is more, these lipsticks are super easy to apply and really really longlasting – I recently let a friend of mine borrow one and she said she didn't even have to reapply once – it stayed on her lips for the entire day. For me, the Maybelline Vivids are a massive hit.
Lastly, we have the ever-so-famous Revlon lip butters. Everyone and their dog is talking about these, but they are truly worth the hype. Creamy and longlasting, they pack a punch are are, in my opinion, perfect for nights on the town. If you're going out with your girlfriends and want a juicy, beautiful pout, look no further than these gorgeous buttery lippies, which will make even the driest of lips look and feel moisturized. The shades we have here are Lollipop (a dark purple) and Sweet Tart (a gorgeous pinky coral).
