You can also find Kristie on Bloglovin and Twitter. Now on with the post which is all about budget friendly face masks and how they really do work on the skin.

I have never been one for investing a lot of money in face masks. I question how beneficial something you leave on for a mere fifteen minutes can actually be for your skin. I tend to use a face mask every week, usually before a night out and I buy them for around £1 - £2. Face masks come in a variety of forms to suit different skin types. Some types of face masks include muds, peel offs, scrubs, fabric, self heating and non drying. I have recently tried face masks by both Superdrug and Montagne Jeunesse. The masks I tried are
Superdrug Tropical Smoothie Self-Heating Mask  Montagne Jeunesse Chocolate Masque  Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Pac  Superdrug Cucumber Cooling Mask

The Tropical Smoothie Self-Heating Mask was the first one that I tried. You apply it to wet skin and massage it in and then leave for fifteen minutes. As soon as you apply this mask you can feel this warmth straight away, it was relaxing and not uncomfortable at all. When I finished applying this mask it started to run down my neck and into my eyebrows. It is a very thin, watery consistency especially in comparison to thicker mud masks. I was wondering if I put too much on but I usually use the full sachet with any other face mask. The mask then ran into my mouth and it tasted awful so I washed it off well before the recommended fifteen minutes. However, I loved the smell of this face mask. It was very peachy. After washing off the face my skin felt squeaky clean. The next mask I tried was the Montagne Jeunesse Chocolate Masque. At first I was very put off by the color of this mask, a brown color. However, as soon as I smelt it I couldn’t wait to put it on. I love using this mask if I’m having a girly pamper night. It smells good enough to eat. The third mask I tried was the Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Pac. I love using this mask when I feel like my skin needs a deep cleanse. It leaves my skin feeling really soft and removes any oil around my t-zone area. This was probably my favorite mask out of the four. The final mask I tried was the Superdrug Cucumber Cooling Mask. It had a much thicker consistency and was more what I am used to. It smelt so refreshing and left my skin feeling really fresh. I love using this face mask if I’m having a bad skin day. All in all, I would repurchase any of the thicker consistency masks I tried. I prefer masks that dry hard. I would definitely recommend Montagne Jeunesse or Superdrug face masks if you are on a budget.
