Our guest blogger today is Liam Trubshaw who has done a couple of weeks with us on an internship. Here he is reflecting on his experiences.
Having recently finished a public relations degree Leeds Metropolitan University, I was keen to get some agency experience under my belt and GREEN were happy to accommodate.
Having once called my self Managing Director of a B2B company, but with little experience of PR in the area, I was interested to learn that Green are specialists in the area. Moreover, they are also taking it further by using social media – a perhaps a communications too that is undervalued by some B2B companies.
Thrown in at the deep end on the first day, I was glad to have plenty to do. It became clear that I would be working primarily on two of GREEN’s biggest clients. Each organisation presented their own challenges as I had zero knowledge of either brand and their products.
Never one to shy away from a challenge, I endeavored (with the help of the guys in the office) to write great content for each, educating myself in the process to enable my next piece to be better!
The staff at GREEN have supported me well here, I’ve received constructive criticism where appropriate, but mostly praise, which is always nice! I hope to work in a similar, relaxed environment in the future, for I believe it is key to the positive atmosphere I have experienced while at GREEN.
Thanks for having me!
Liam.
