Oh how good it feels to be writing again, I know it has been a while since I have wrote anything and I apologize for that. As a lot of you have noticed we have got a new look here on the website and Michael is doing a great job at keeping us looking fabulous. We have also added a new addition to the site, Geeks in Capes for all the comic book lovers out there, that is the place to get your news. So now for the latest addition! For those that keep up with me, and yes I do actually have a few that do, I have been asked many, many times to restart, redo, a blog that I once called Growing Up Geek. That blog was based on the life and tales of my nephew who is now 6 years old and who is already a major geek. I have started and rebooted the blog several different times, but it always feel by the wayside. So due to the requests I have decided to reboot the blog but in a different way this time around. As you all can see this is not the normal article on our site, and while I love the normal stuff, I am trying to stray away from that with this.
Growing Up Geek, will be a weekly piece here at Geekasms. It will not only cover and review things going on that I feel is worthy of being heard, but will also cover opinion pieces (you know those crazy rants that we need to have every now and again), but I also hope to have special guest pieces, and getting our fans here on Geekasms involved in what we love to do. Growing Up Geek was formed to chronicle the adventures of my geeky nephew and that will still take place as we do new things together, but we are adding to it. And while I say this will be a weekly article on the site, there may be times when we post more than once a week, depending on what’s going on in geekville and in my life. So with that, I leave you with a little anticipation for what the first official Growing Up Geek article will be about.
