Groovy!

By Marensmorsels @marentweets

Okay so I don’t know why I titled this post ‘groovy’ but I liked it so I went with it.

Wow, I have been flooded with wonderful comments all morning. In all honesty, I wasn’t expecting to get any. So to know you all are so understanding is awesome.

All the comments were wonderful but this one really hit the spot for me:

Thanks Ellie! You really put everything in perspective for me. Part of being healthy is also about having times where we struggle.

LUNCH!

Part of being sick with stomach problems is dealing with food. I kinda go into denial mode when my intestines freak out. Especially when I’ve felt good for a while. I don’t know why I do it… I think I’d rather just feel good so badly that pretending and ignoring my symptoms makes me feel like I have a normal digestive system.

Today it was back to all the same safe foods. Chicken fajitas, no cheese, no tortillas, no rice. Just yummy chicken, veggies, legumes and healthy fats (aka guac!)

I tweeted this while enjoying my weight in tortilla chips:

chips and salsa is the Californian’s bread and butter!

I feel it’s 178% true.

;-)

THE TRUTH IS…

I need to not be in denial about how my stomach, intestines, and body feels. If I feel bad I need to get my butt in gear and do the things that I know will help me feel better. I just wish so badly that I had a normal digestive system. It’s so much easier.

Thanks guys for making me feel like 1 million trillion bucks, I haven’t felt good in a while so it really meant a lot!
