Grimm 1x13: Three Coins in a Fuchsbau

StorylineA failed jewelry store robbery results in a murder that finds Nick and Hank immersed in a hunt for rare coins. Nick soon learns that these coins have an unsettling effect on whoever possesses them, as Hank and Captain Renard begin to exhibit unusual behavior. Meanwhile, a mysterious old friend of aunt Marie's comes to Nick with information about his family and what led to his parents' death. TriviaDr. Harper is referred to as "Parker" throughout.

The title is referencing the 1954 film Three Coins in the Fountain, based on the novel Coins in the Fountain by John H. Secondari. It tells the tale of three American girls looking for romance in Rome. The theme song of the same name, by Julie Styne and Sammy Cahn, was a popular hit and received an Academy Award for Best Original Song the same year. The title refers to the legend of someone throwing a coin into the Trevi Fountain in Rome to make a wish.
