The second session of Wakefield College’s new Masterclass programme will focus on essential skills in social media for management covering all areas of this fast growing medium from Twitter to Linkedin to Pinterest.
Anne Cox, Development and Partnership Advisor at Wakefield College, said: “The first Masterclass was a huge success. We had about 60 visitors from 30 companies including public sector, private sector, owner and third sector businesses and a lot of those who attended have already said they want to sign up for the next Masterclass in March.”
The next session in the series will be held on Thursday, March 22 between 11.45am and 2pm at the college’s Thornes Park campus and will be led by leading communications expert and innovator in social media Ian Green, who will give a presentation on ‘Essential Skills in Social Media for Management’,
The aim of the bi-monthly series of lunchtime events at the college is to equip local businesses and their managers with crucial skills to survive and thrive. Each session will focus on different areas of business expertise.
Ian, who is a partner at Wakefield-based digital PR and marketing agency Green Communications and a director of the Wakefield Media Centre, will talk to delegates about how to manage their resources on social media in 2012 and will deliver 30 ideas for a social media strategy which will ensure their business or organisation is at the center of the online conversation rather than standing on the sidelines.
Admission to the event is free but you will need to book online here or contact Anne Cox on 01924 789882 or email [email protected].
