Green People Organic Sun Lotion Review

With summer finally here, I'm starting to really think about how I can protect Abbie from the sun, aside from keeping her in the shade and keeping her hydrated, I've been looking for a sun lotion to keep her protected too, I didn't realize there were so many to choose from, what factor do I need? What brand is best? Ahhhh! 

We were recently contacted by a lovely company called "Green People" who specialise in skin care for both mother & baby, gentle, fragrance free and organic! They kindly sent us their "Organic Children Sun Lotion" to try out, it contains Aloe Vera, Beeswax & Edelweiss (a beautiful mountain flower).

First of all, I love the packaging, it came in a cute little bag wrapped in tissue paper & looked perfect..

The packaging of the cream is pretty basic, which is what I prefer, you want to be able to pick up a product an know exactly what it is, what's in it etc without having to turn it over 10 times looking for the answers..

A few details about the lotion..

• It offers a 96% UVB protection 
• Moisturising, soothing and suitable for sensitive skin
• Rich in antioxidants to protect against dell damage 
• Water resistant but not pore clogging 

ApplicationMy first impression was it seemed a little thick, not a negative thing for me though as I'd feel more confident putting it on Abbie rather than a thinner one...upon rubbing it in I realised that actually, a little goes a long way too, you can see below the amount I used, that was enough for my whole bottom half of my arm & hand! It felt super soft & glided smoothly across my skin..

After a few rubs, my skin absorbed it quickly..

No greasiness at all! Doesn't even look like I have any on!

My only slight concern was the fact of it being a SPF 25.. but after doing some research I discovered that even if I used a factor 50, it would only provide 2% more in coverage so I was reassured, a lot of people (including myself) believe a factor 50 would provide 'twice' the protection, but research disproves this..you learn something new everyday! 

Also, did you know that the SPF number only relates to UVB rays and not UVA? This is why it's super important to re apply regularly to ensure the greatest protection!

What's better (yes it get's even better).. is that Green People support the Marine Conservation Society, the UK charity protecting our seas, shores & wildlife, a minimum of 30p from your purchase will be donated to them. :)

Overall impression
I am super impressed with this, I love how light it feels, the fact it is made from Organic ingrediants & the added bonus of it being fragrance free. I can now relax knowing Abbie is going to be protected by such a fantastic product!
