How I Met Your Mother
Congratulations to Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. They got me! Well, c'mon, please say that they got you guys too! I totally thought that there really was going to be a surprise Laser Tag rehearsal dinner. I really did. Then I thought, uh oh, if there really isn't a Laser Tag rehearsal dinner, maybe there isn't going to be a wedding. I mean they had me believing the entire thing and then Barney turned the tables on Robin (and all of us) with a surprise Canadian skating party rehearsal dinner!!! I mean come on, no way you guys could have seen that coming, could you? Loved the skates, the signed photo of Wayne Gretzky, Alan Thicke and the figure skater. Can you name the song and the artist that Wayne Brady and Alan Thicke were spoofing? NO CHEATING! Regardless of the fact that there was still no Mom...they got me and it was great.
News & Information:
-Gotta say, I was totally shocked to hear that Sam Champion would be leaving Good Morning America and ABC and heading to The Weather Channel. It seems like I've been watching him my entire life. First on WABC and then on Good Morning America. 25 years and now he's heading to The Weather Channel as managing editor and host of his own morning show. I wish him lots of luck. Gotta be honest, I probably won't see him until the next big weather event when I actually tune in to The Weather Channel, but I know I will see him, he won't be gone from my life forever, but things are going to feel really different now in the morning.
-I don't have all the numbers, but The Walking Dead's midseason finale Sunday night was seen by 12.1 million viewers. 7.7 million were A18-49. Down quite a bit from the season premiere of 16.1 million viewers but net/net still up 29% when looking at year over year.
-I actually like this idea...Comcast has this cool new technology that allows advertisers to insert their most current ads into past TV episodes that could be made available on demand. The ability to fast forward would be disabled. If this thing works, it makes VOD a lot more interesting, viewers could binge watch and the live numbers could possibly increase. It could be a REALLY good idea! What do you think?
