Google Nexus 8 Coming in April?

Posted on the 10 February 2014 by Anna Peterson

According to rumors, Google is working on an 8in tablet that will launch the third generation of Nexus tablets. The Nexus 8 might arrive at the end of April and Google is expected to initially ship around two million units.

Google will release an 8in tablet called the Nexus 8.

We might learn more details about the Nexus 8 by the end of February.

Google may not have a plan to release a 7in tablet this year at all, seeing that the last year’s Nexus 7 sold fewer than three million units by the end of 2013. The Californian multinational corporation is reportedly delving into the 8in territory in order to avoid price competition in the 7in tablet market and to put its tablets in the same class as Apple’s iPad Mini.

The company is yet to reveal the specifications about the Nexus 8, but we can certainly expect the latest processor, more RAM and a better screen. If the rumors about the April launch turn out to be true, we will learn more about this device in the coming months.

Google teamed up with the Taiwanese company Asus to produce the Nexus 7 and the partnership will most likely continue when it comes to Google’s next tablet.
