Google Introduced New Nexus 7, ChromeCast and Android Jelly Bean 4.3

Two days ago, San Francisco was the place to be. Google presented a brand new Nexus 7, the first device that runs Android Jelly Bean 4.3, as well as a new Chrome device called ChromeCast.

The spotlight was, naturally, on the new Nexus 7, the second generation of Google Nexus tablet which features we discussed in one of our posts during the previous week. Once again made in cooperation with Asus, new Nexus 7 features a high resolution screen of 7 inches (1920×1200 pixels), 1.2 mega-pixels front and 5 mega-pixels back camera, 2 GB of RAM, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. This lighter and smaller Nexus tablet will be available from August in the U.S in two versions: 16 GB (229$) and 32 GB (269 $).

Another device announced by Google is ChromeCast- a dongle that allows you to send multimedia content (music, videos) from smartphones or tablet devices directly onto TV. This 5-inches long dongle connects with the TV via HDMI port and it will be available at the price of only $ 35.

Finally, as we mentioned above, new Nexus 7 will be the first device with Android Jelly Bean 4.3 OS, that comes with some innovative features such as  Open GL ES 3.0 support that provides better 3D graphics. In addition, new Jelly Bean will support Bluetooth Smart and it will also introduce the content restriction, allowing the users to manage the access to different apps, meaning this feature will enable parental control in order to prevent their children  from accessing mature content.
