Bubba, Poulter and Keegan proved that pro players can play great golf with a raucous crowd. Let’s ditch the quiet please signs for spectators and replace them with ‘make some noise’. Just as Bubba and Poulter encouraged people to yell, shout and cheer on the tees at Medinah.
The days of teeing off in silence should be over. Future golf tournaments should see greater spectator participation and noise levels to worry the local authorities.
