Gnappies Review

By Ourbabyblog @OurBabyBlogx

Ill be honest and say that the idea of using cloth nappies really didn't appeal to me, I was bombarded with certain mums trying to breathe down my neck about the benefits and all...plus just the idea of adding to the piles of washing I already seemed to have daily put me off, but also the fact of removing the erm, specimens inside yet still using that nappy..but I didn't actually do any research on them, a lot of people around me swore by them and never looked back..so I wanted to see what the fuss was all about, after carrying out some research and speaking to a friend, i actually changed my mind, it wasn't at all like I expected..that exact same day I received an email from a company called Gnappies, which provide colourful nappy covers called gpants, which you use with 100% biodegradable disposable inserts...so it's the hybrid of cloth and disposable all in one..how could I not try it?
Being biodegradable means no damage to the environment, they will easily break down, to help save the planet and give you that little sense of accomplishment! "Conventional disposable nappies take up to 500 years to break down. gNappies biodegradable* disposable inserts can be home composted (wet ones only please) or binned."
Think of the money you can save too! All you need is 6-8 gnappies for full time use, you purchase the inserts at a very very reasonably £8.95 for a pack of 40, whereas the leading disposable nappy brand would be £9.99! £800 a year of nappies, whereas you could save an impressive £450+, imagine what you could use that extra cash for? Even accounting for the extra detergent and heating needed to wash them, lets add another £100 into it, you are still better off!
If you're not sure you want to commit straight away, why not try out their starter bundle? You receive 2 gpants with a packet of inserts for only £39.95! See how you get on and who knows. You may just love them!
I'm not going to tell you that I'm never using disposable nappies again, because I would be lying, but I will certainly be using these as much as I can, they seem more comfortable and hygienic, sometimes you just don't have the time to play around with inserts if youre out and about in a mad rush, so don't feel bad for using a regular nappy! :)
I was really looking forward to begin using these, it was time to see what the fuss is all about...
The packaging was..First impression..
