I wanted a cracker. I found a quick recipe. I made the crackers! Here’s an alternative to wheat thins made with almond flour. This is the basic recipe but you can throw in some rosemary and thyme and create a different treat. Or a bit of honey and cinnamon for a sweet treat. The options are endless!
Makes 2 Dozen
Ingredients
3/4 c. (3 oz.) Almond Flour
1 Egg White
1/8 tsp. Garlic Powder
1/8 tsp. Onion Powder
3/8 tsp. Sea Salt
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a small bowl.
In between two pieces of parchment paper roll out dough until about 1/8 inch thick.
Score with a pizza cutter into squares.
Bake at 325ยบ for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. (You may have to cook them longer for ideal crispiness)
Recipe Tips
When measuring almond flour, DO NOT PACK the flour in the measuring cup. If using a kitchen scale, it is 3 oz. Here’s a picture of the recipe rolled and scored on the parchment paper.
It is surprising how quick these are to make. I think I will try a sweet option and let you guys know how they turn out!
