Happy Saturday Lovelies. its amazing how easily bright colours can lift your spirit and have you giddy for summer and the April Glowwbox is a beauty box full of sunshine, no wonder it's sold out!
My favorite product of the box has to be the Manna Kadar Cosmetics Lip Locked Priming Gloss Stain, a pretty pink moisturizing lip gloss. Although I'm usually a matte lipstick kinda gal, I love wearing the gloss stain for a while before applying my makeup then wiping it off to reveal a pink tint that works well with my nude lipstick.
It also stays on for hours while keeping my lips moisturized. It truly does give a long lasting tint because the only way I successfully get it all off is with a face or lip scrub at night.
I love the Wild About Beauty Ultra Creme Blush (in Phoebe) because it works so well to give me some color on my no make up days, I simply use my finger to apply it to my cheeks and I'm ready to go. I was initially worried that it'd be to light for my complexion but I found that its not even as bold as I'd imagined. It does gives a lovely rosy tint but not visibly enough when I apply it on my foundation.
The 2True Cosmetics Twist 'n' Line Eyeliner Definer (in Shade 15 Blue) definitely took me back to my university days because I was obsessed with blue eyeliner back then (don't ask me why) and would experiment with different colours, I mean I even dabbled in red once upon a time. Although I'm not as bold now, it was nice to try a bit of color for a change and I even got a few compliments, which was reassuring. I did finish it with a black eyeliner winged look to tone it down so I was more comfortable to rock it.
The Paul Mitchell Full Circle Leave-In Treatment has seen the most use from the whole box and although it does have an acquired fragrance which is not my favourite, its definitely is easy to apply. I use it twice a week after my washes and although it doesn't define my curls as I was miraculously expecting, it does enhance them.
The 2True Cosmetics Eye Dazzler (in 5 & 7) really do make the eyes pop. I have quite bold eyes already so I preferred to apply them lightly to the lids with some black liquid eyeliner on the top and they simply have the perfect pigmentation for darker skin, standing out and having you shining in advance of the summer sun.
