Be on the cover of VOGUE!
The February issue of Vogue magazine famously features arguably one of the most iconic TV stars of our generation – Lena Dunham.
But the cover is not without its controversy! Kanye was reportedly quite peeved that Anna didn’t put Kim on instead (um.. calm down Kanye) and of course there was the mega issue with Jezebel offering 10K for Vogue’s unretouched images. (Seriously??)
Much mean-girls type drama ensued – photos were released, and everyone was sort of like, oh whatever not such a big difference - will everyone please just calm down blablabla.
And all’s well that ends well.
There was also the issue of the pigeon – where one of Jezebel’s claims was that said pigeon was not real. To which Vogue responded by posting this image on instagram, with the following caption: The Vogue pigeon. Any questions? Photo by @b_sam

Anyhooo… pigeon or no pigeon, Vogue also released this super awesome tongue-in-cheek video featuring Lena with Hamish Bowles, Vogue’s European Editor at Large.

If there’s anything we have learned from this story, it’s that if you are going to feature plumage of any sort ( or any other animal reference such as bunny ears for that matter) on your head in a photo shoot – make sure it is the real deal and not simply photoshopped on, lest the aforementioned come into question in the name of authenticity.
