(BTW this is a photo heavy post, so apologies if it takes a little time to load).
A big cocktail glass and red shoe!
The exhibition was a fashion and beauty shopper's paradise, jam packed with all things girlie. When we first arrived we were advised to head straight for the Little Pink Book display to pick up our booklet of offers and savings and not to forget to grab our goody bag from the back of the hall.

Then it was time to look around. There were over 200 of the UK's top brands exhibiting, everything from clothing and cosmetic products, to fully operating hair salons, photography sessions, nail bars and spa treatments on offer.

After a full on morning of taking everything in, it was time for a short rest in the bar area and an opportunity to take advantage of the free pinky vodka cocktail voucher we were armed with.
Oooooh a free drink - it would be rude not to...
Through out the day, there were scheduled demonstrations at the Body Confidential Beauty Theatre and fashion shows styled by stylist to the stars, Martine Alexander on the Key 103 stage.
We caught the midday fashion show; which showcased 3 key trends for the A/W 2012 wardrobe; Military, Leather and 1920 Vintage. All the clothing featured were high street brands available at Debenhams.

There was also a style surgery, in which Alexander gave advice on how to make outfits suitable for work by covering up with a blazer or jacket and then with a couple of simple changes, how that dress can be transformed into party appropriate attire.
Daywear to Partywear
For work - a black jacket over a white peplum dress nails the monochrome trend. Covert to party-wear by removing the jacket and adding a skinny belt around the waist.
For Work - A investment piece dress with a red pattern (as this will never go out of style & great around Christmas time) with a short black jacket over the top. Convert to party-wear by switching jacket for a feathery shrug.
For Work - A purple peplum dress (two of this seasons must have trends) with a short black jacket over the top. Convert to party-wear by removing the jacket and your ready to rock!
For Work - Bold bright orange jersey dress with white 3/4 length sleeve jacket and orange heels. Covert to party-wear by removing jacket, change shoes for some gold heels and add a stretchy metal belt in a gold.
By 3pm we were starting to flag and in great need of a food stop, so we decided to leave the show and headed off down to Spinningfields to The Alchemist for lunch outside and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon sunshine. All in all it was a really enjoyable and girlie day out, with plenty of swag to boot!!
All the stuff which I returned home with from the show. (All the purchases will feature in my shopping haul post later this week).
