At a gig working again and the band are great the sound is near perfect and the atmosphere is lively...
The one thing that is annoying me is the lighting in the club, I have studied tech theater for 5 years now and the rule that should never be broken is putting coloured lights facing the stage, there are a few reasons for this and these are:
Colour from the back to pick up shape on stage and use natural color light from the front to illuminate the performers otherwise skin color is effected by coloured lights
The band will look like smurfs if a blue light is used or they look like space creature if you use green...
Designers of clubs and some theater lighting technicians still do this and it looks unprofessional and just rubbish
So I have to sit here for the next hour watching the band changing from smurfs to space men to red demons
But the band are great as they are covering Beatles tracks plus music from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s
So back to work and I will blog tomorrow
