GIFT WRAPPING IDEAS - Style Swap Tuesdays ( Link up )

By Saumya Shiohare @myriadmusings1
The time is finally here.... when most of the gifts you ordered have arrived and haven been hidden in the basement for wrapping at a time when no one's around. This is actually my favorite step of the entire git giving process- wrapping the presents. I like to put some thought  and effort into my gift-wrapping cuz when the gifts are so carefully handpicked, the packaging better be unique and thoughtfully done...right??
Good news, I am done wrapping all my gifts. They have been wrapped and carefully stowed in the basement until they are loaded in the car and driven straight to NY, where we''ll be celebrating Christmas with family. I am sharing some of my gift-wrapping ideas below. I use them so often that I've given a name to each style....

Build-a-Box
No building is required, this one's got to be the easiest. A little expensive when you buy them, but these pre-made boxes come in so handy when you are crunched for time. I bought mine at Home Goods. Depending on the size and pattern these gift-boxes could cost anywhere between $4-$30. Might be a splurge but good thing- these can be reused.

The Dual-Personality
For this one I glued the ends of two different gift wrapping papers and used it to gift wrap as usual. I finished off a with a coordinating bow and some holly berries. Looking at it now a red or black bow would have been more eye-appealing: what say?

Wreath With A Boon
This gift-wrapping style seems to be quite popular. I was perusing Pinterest for easy hacks to make the mini wreath and there were ceaseless options. I used a piece of wire and some twigs to make my mini wreath, but you could use either a wreath cut-out or if you can find the pre-made mini wreaths as well. The chalk board stickers come in handy when labeling the gifts.

Where's-my-Doily
Doilies make a great gift-wrapping accessory. I buy the multi-size pack and use them wherever possible. I had my daughter randomly sprinkle some glitter between the cut-work and it looks so festive. She agreed to do it cuz this one is for her favorite cousin.

Big Brown Wrap
I am obsessed with brown gift wrapping papers. They look so organic and the fun prints available ou there make them even more desirable. I bought a few prints- polka dot and green Christmas trees. But my neighbor liked the tree one a lot so I gave it to her. These are so effortless to accessorize. Use colorful  ribbons, bows, old newspaper strips or even strips of your kids artwork, the brown backdrop just makes anything pop.
