1. Why did you initially decide to start a blog?
I live in a small city in Canada with a tiny shopping mall and a few movie theatres, bars and restaurants. Not many exciting events take place where I live. So a majority of people around here tend to go drinking a lot… you can say, pretty much every weekend! Being a university student who doesn’t drink or get wasted – things can get super boring around here really fast! So I chose to start blogging during my free time. I would much rather occupy myself with fashion and beauty!!! Also, I thought it was a great way to interact with people around the world!
2. What/Who has had the most influence on your personal style?
My personal style is mostly influenced by the celebrities and blogs/websites I mentioned above.
Celebrities: Gisele Bundchen, Olivia Palermo, Kendall Jenner, Selena Gomez, and Taylor Swift
Okay, fashion influence from a real person wise (by real person, I mean those who I’ve actually met in person)?! I know this sounds totally weird, but a part of my personal style was influenced by this professor I had during my first year of university. Her style was chic, sophisticated and totally Vogue – I loved it!
3. What blogs, magazines, or websites do you often look to for inspiration?
I mostly look at things/people around me for inspiration. Other than that, I look at different Instagram (beauty, fashion and travel related), Youtube (beauty channels), Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar, The Fashion Guitar and Sincerely, Jules.
4. What is your favorite social media platform? Who do you love following?
My all time favorite social media platform is Instagram! I know, really cliché! But seriously, I’m on there every hour I’m awake! I love looking at talented makeup artists showcase their work and I love fashionistas showing off their creative styles. It definitely provides some inspiration on future looks that I can possibly recreate.
Currently, I love following: @iamrachelmccord, @beauty.by.aisha, @maya_mia_y, @hudabeauty, @innercity_fashion, @fashion_____street, and @voguerunway.
I have always had an interest in traveling, so I also love following travel accounts. My favorite at this moment is @worldwanderlust. She has beautiful pictures from all over the world, which I can never get bored of!
5. Favourite shopping purchases from this year so far?
So far… beauty products wise, it’s been my Shade and Light Eye Contour Palette by Kat Von D (KVD). It’s literally the only palette I’ve been using for all my makeup looks since I’ve purchased it. Other favourites include ‘Cruella’ velvet matte lip pencil by Nars, ‘Vampira’ liquid lipstick by KVD, and Kate Somerville’s Exfolikate Intense Exfoliator. I literally use all three of these products everyday. They are my holy grail!
Fashion wise, I have been loving my Michael Kors tote bag that my parents bought me for my birthday. It’s perfect to take with me to lectures and it fits everything! …My notes, iPad, cell phone, wallet, mini makeup bag, everything!

If I’m not completely broke… Nordstrom!
8. What beauty product can you not live without?
I can’t live without my MAC face powder! It’s the one thing I always wear when I don’t do a full face makeup!
9. If you could interview any fashion designer, who would it be and why?
I’m gonna chat and say Vera Wang and OscarDe La Renta! I love love love all the things they both design. Extremely talented! I seriously want to know where they get their inspiration from!
10. Do you prefer drugstore or high end makeup brands?
Both! My favourite drugstore brands are L’Oreal, Maybelline, and Physician’s Formula. …Favourite high end brands include Nars, MAC, and Kat Von D.
