George Thorogood is ” Badder Than Ever ” in London ON

Our friends, over at Jones Entertainment Group, know how to throw a party as they have shown us year after year with Rock the Park Music Festival in London, Ontario. However, they just proved it doesn't have to be the middle of summer to throw a party. They invited a couple of amazing guitar players to come to Centennial Hall in downtown London, ON. One of those artists just happened to be classic rock legend, George Thorogood, and his band, The Destroyers. Along for the ride was Canadian blues guitar master, JW Jones.

JW Jones kicked the night off with a stellar set of original blues music. I have to be honest, I don't know much about the blues, but it was a rockin' set and his talent is incredible. JW Jones is a past Juno nominee and there are a lot of reasons why he has those honors. It was simply amazing watching him perform with his band. Check out more of JW Jones online at, www.jw-jones.com.

After a killer set from JW Jones, the crowd was anxious for the main event. By this time, the beer was flowing and people were getting into the party mood. The lights went out and the man of the night emerged from the darkness with his trademark snakeskin bandana and sunglasses and kicked the night off in a big way. The band was on fire and the guitar slaying was about to take center stage. After kicking the night off with, "Rock Party", the hits just continued to roll from there. George is known for his covers of classic tunes such as, "Move it on Over", and, "Who Do You Love", all of which were included in the set from the master of the gritty rock and roll.

The crowd came to life when Thorogood broke into, "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer", and I saw more than a few beers being raised into the air, people up out of their seats dancing. The hits continued to be cranked out with, "Get a Haircut", and, "Gear Jammer", coming mid-set. Closing up the show was his most popular hit, "Bad to the Bone". George gave the crowd more of that bluesy rock sound they were there for with an encore of, "Madison Blues ".

George Thorogood has been pleasing fans for decades with his distinct rock and roll sound and he is giving his fans everything they could ask for on the, "Badder Than Ever", Tour. Numerous dates are still to come. If you want more information on George Thorogood and the tour, check out his website at, www.georgethorogood.com.
