Info: Lindsay is the home of the Geomatics Institute at Fleming, located at the Frost Campus. The Fleming College has achieved an international reputation for innovation and excellence in Geomatics education. They produce high caliber graduates, who are considered to not just be users of GIS technology but to be specialists in their field. The Geomatics Institute is an ideal location for the study of Geomatics technologies.
The campus is located close to not only the Greater Toronto Area but also the Ministry of Natural Resources and Trent University, both respected organizations that have provided several academic and industrial partnerships that support our academic initiatives, student applied projects and internships.
They offer a choice of three programs. For high-school graduates there is a four semester Geomatics Technician diploma program. For college or university graduates, they can enhance their education with one of the Post-Graduate Certificate programs: GIS Applications Specialist or GIS Cartographic Specialist.
