When I started reading Garance Doré‘s blog two years ago I did it for her illustrations. Few lines that expressed a world of style where black & white fashion figures wear colorful accessories and details. To show you my love for her work I published an article about this lady, more than one year ago.
When I found out a few days ago that she has become a testimonial for nothing less than #Zara, the super popular Spanish brand that doesn’t have neither a catalog nor an advertising in magazines because it aims to locate its stores in strategic points of the city, it was a surprise.Parisian by birth and New Yorker by adoption Garance expresses the perfect balance between the two styles. Sophisticated and refined in her attitude of being casual and comfortable - perfectly accomplishing the French bohemian mood that seems to put things together by chance; minimal and aware of new materials, hairstyle and with a self confident and ironic attitude – common to the inhabitants of the Big Apple.I have met her several times during the Fashion Week in Paris and I was struck by her physical presence. Taller than I expected, not too thin like most of the figures in the fashion world and very smiley.The photographs taken by Zara go straight to the point to pull out all her personality. A dynamic, creative, self-confident woman able to wear with the same ease either a fascinating and sensual olive green leather midi skirt to go to work or a pair of loafers and a vintage-looking bomber jacket for the evening.In this campaign Zara shoot not only a combination of outfits suitable for the cutest everyday style, but shows us a go pro attitude and make an invitation to build a personal image made of basic elements ready to be combined in a creative way and to be completed with a smile and a winning attitude.And as usual, we have to take a ride to Zara and six by six try on almost the entire store.
