With a hypnotizing repetitive loop made up of strange sounds “The Drugs She Fed You Last Night” develops over four minutes including a little bit of everything—analog synths, shoegaze guitars, gothic vocals, dreamy delays, psychedelic sounds, tribal(ish) drumming and much more. The amazing part is how this mass of sound coalesces into a tune that is not only accessible but actually inviting. Just as the album cover shows displaced geometric shapes that don’t quite fit together but still form an engaging composition, so too do these musical parts form an aggregate of strange and angular beauty. This is the second track off of the Cambridge, MA’s collective recently released second full length, Come Inside.
