Fun in Hmv

By Bambileigh

I may or may not have gone slightly overboard in HMV. But then again, I rarely get to go to a HMV as there isn’t one in my town. I bought quite a few good’uns and I thought it’d be fun to share them with you guys! You never know, we may discover we have the same movie tastes! And for those of you who are planning to watch any of the films featured – I won’t include any spoliers!

FUN IN HMV

I’ve been dying to watch Saving Mr Banks for ages, so I picked this up as soon as I spotted it. I love Mary Poppins, so it was pretty much guaranteed that I’d like this too – and the casting was perfect! Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson did such a good job. I won’t say much more incase you haven’t watched it – but just be aware that you must watch it, you will love it and you may cry.

This is still sitting on my dresser waiting to be watched! I wanted to see this when it first came out in the cinema but as a few of you know – I hate the cinema. Anyway, I’m glad I finally picked it up as I’m pretty sure I’ll like it as Leonardo Dicaprio’s in it and I am yet to watch a film with him in it that sucked. I might watch it tonight actually!

I’m sure a few of you will be happy I finally have this – I probably won’t shut up about it though I’m afraid! I bought seasons one and two, which I’m about half way through now. Honestly it’s such a good show! There’s not much I can say without giving anything away but I will say it’s about clones… I’m not usually into shows of that nature but someone I met through blogging (she has since disappeared!) recommended it to me and Im so glad she did! It’s not something I would have chosen to watch normally so I’m very greatful. I’d never heard of Tatiana Maslany before but she is AMAZING – you’ll see why if you watch it!

Snatch – I hadn’t seen this until recently, but I love it! Brad Pitt plays his part amazingly, it’s pretty hilarious. It’s one of those films that you have to have on DVD, otherwise your collection really isnt complete… D’ya like dags?

Okay? Okay. I read the book a year ago – I was up until 5am, many emotions were felt, it was not pretty. I nearly went to the cinema to see this, but at that time I was getting all teary eyed whenever I even thought about the book so there was no way I could go and sit in a room full of people. And it’s a good job I didn’t! I watched it alone, and protected when was left of my dignity.

I didn’t actually get this from HMV, I found it on eBay but it’s such a cute film I just wanted to add it in at the end! It’s one of those films that you can pop on when you’re not feeling too great and it’ll just warm your cockles!

Have you seen any of these films or are you planning to? Let me know!
