Fruit of the Womb | Infertility

By Momatlast @momatlast
“Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is His reward.”

~ Psalm 127:3 ~

God’s purpose for children is so that they grow to live godly, abundant lives and thereby, be a demonstration to others of His love and power. He wants to ensure that His Word is perpetuated from generation to generation, bringing wholeness, victory, and prosperity to each generation (Genesis 18:19).

The dictionary defines a “heritage” as something someone is born to, a special way of life that passes from generation to generation. Psalm 127: 3 tells us that children are a heritage of God, for whom He cares and watches as His own. A wise parent will regard each child special, as a reward and a source of joy. That’s a good reason to keep learning how to raise a godly child and to train him/her properly. This will enable the child to have deep faith and strong character. Parents should always seek God’s direction and assistance with this precious gift. They should consider themselves as privileged to participate in God’s creation process.

But not everyone regards his or her children in this way. You may wonder sometimes why people who mistreat or neglect their children were given the honor of becoming a parent while you, who would be a loving and attentive parent, are left longing to participate in parenthood. I experienced those thoughts and my advice is not to go down “Wondering Why Road”. It is futile to compare yourself to others. It doesn’t make you feel better or do anything to change the situation, and it does not move God’s hand. Only your faith moves God!

Since it is impossible to agree with God without having faith in Him (Hebrews 11:6), you have to be more aware of where your faith and focus are. Are you more focused on what you do not have? Are you constantly comparing yourself to others and what they have (children, marriage, job, house, etc.)? If so, choose to make a shift in your thought life. Think about what you’re thinking about. Become more “fruit-minded.” Believe that God has made your life and your womb fruitful, according to Psalm 127:3.

Instead of dwelling on what you don’t have, choose to focus on the love God has for you. His love and grace are powerful and He strongly desires to bring abundant fruitfulness to your life.

Speak the Word: Children are a gift from God. I gladly open my mind and heart to receive every good gift that God gives me. My thoughts AND my body are fruitful.
