From the Bookworm's Shelf

By Pragyasharma57 @pragyasharma57
Like any other girl, I am an avid book lover, a bookworm actually. Anything would interest me if it entails reading. The genre depends on my mood. Sometimes its all thriller that engrosses me, sometimes romantics and sometimes just bland writing.Recently, I read 2 newbies- The Fallen Angel by David Hewson and Delhi OMG by Vinod Nair. Since I really liked both of them each having its own interesting story, I decided to share it with you all.
FROM THE BOOKWORM'S SHELF
The Fallen Angel, as the cover page  depicts is a complete mysterious book set up in Rome. A death of a father occurs and the police & detectives try to associate it with a similar murder committed some 500 years back in the history of Rome( the Beatrice Cenci case) and try forming the links. Does all this actually turn out to be true? that I leave to you to discover. Very apt said "When the sins of the past echo the crimes of the present". David Hewson has made Rome appear really mysterious and sinister, quite different from the picture that Rome holds in our minds.
The second one is more of a simple writing about Delhi. It doesn't state the obvious but instead the things about Delhi many people are still not acquainted with. It has told me a lot about Delhi I didn't know before covering places like G.B. Road, Malviya Nagar, GK, Khirki Extension, CP, Khan Market and even a little about our Gurgaon in the end. There were many instances I could associate myself with. The protagonist has his experiences of corruption, people using other people for their own benefits and a lot other unsaid stories about Delhi.
Surely, these two are a must read. The first one because it really involves you and the second one I suggest if you stay in Delhi or NCR!
