From One Extreme to Another …

By Yourfamilysurvivalcoach @shari_brewer

It was always my intention to drop in quickly while on this little break away and after a truly whirlwind visit to Rocky, I’m now listening to the hustle, bustle and sirens of the city. Sydney town, I love it here already.

I’ve some photos of  our visit to rollicking Rockhampton for you. Have you ever been there? If not, then you should. Hot, bloody hot, breeze-less and larger than life fibroglass bullocks lining the city streets. Oh, how I’d missed the place ….. so much more than I had realized and what an awesome weekend it was!

From one extreme to another …

This is my favorite Rocky bull and is actually on the corner of the road I used to turn into on my daily work commute. He’s a cracker isn’t he!

It was fantastic to catch up with these lovely ladies. One I hadn’t seen since she left school in 1993 and she came with her gorgeous 18 year old daughter. I was their high school English teacher and I haven’t aged a bit

;)

After morning tea, MOTH and I took Baby Girl to the beach at Yeppoon and then to nearby Rosslyn Bay to see the boats. Such a beautiful day down at the sea side – perfect for fish and chips at the beach and a quick game of seagull chasing!

From one extreme to another …

A birthday party on Saturday night before heading seven and a half hours down the dusty highway home. Rocky is a quiet place and six years hasn’t seen it change much at all. I liked that.

Time only to replenish the suitcase and I’m now somewhere very different from the cow-poking ways of Central Queensland. City vs Bush? Well, I think there’s a piece of my heart in each. How about you? Are you country, town or maybe even beach?

Back soon!
