Friday the 13th

By Healthhungry @Healthhungry
Friday the 13thI didn't even realize it was Friday the 13th until I paid my bill at the salon today. That explains my getting lost for longer than I'd like to admit... but other than that it's been a good day! I was REALLY struggling not to get myself a latte after the stress of being lost, and before my hair appointment. I also worried about getting hungry... so I stopped and grabbed an unsweetened green tea and something to tide me over while I got pampered.
Friday the 13thI started my day with a smoothie(not pictured) and as I left the house and I knew I should have planned better.  I sat in traffic for 15 minutes, totally still, and decided to take a different route...  I could have gone the same old way I know but I thought, "branch out!"  And I did...  I took a risk - and it sucked.  But that's what happens sometimes, right?  I'm sure there was a reason I wasted 1/4 tank of gas, and almost an hour of today...
Friday the 13thMy hair appointment was at 11am and finished at about 2pm.(yep - cuz I got some color so it took longer) and by the time I got out of that chair my tummy said FEED ME!  When you are eating as I am, your options are very limited - which is very challenging, but oddly enough really helpful to me right now.  I had to go to the grocery store to get some essentials and I needed something to eat - quick.  I decided on some dalmadas - they hit the spot!  Grape leaves with rice and seasonings... yum. :)
Friday the 13thWhen I returned home, I put the groceries away and decided to make supper(early).  On the menu: Dr. Praegers fish sticks and broccoli cakes - both made with potatoes and gluten free!  I made my own tarter sauce by cutting up dill pickles and using some Vegan mayo.   I feel so very proud of myself today.  I was tempted so many times, I was even frustrated and near tears at one point(that time of the month where emotions run high) but I stuck to my plan.  The green tea, (or something) made me incredibly SLEEPY;  I thought that was ironic...   I am ready for a night with Mr. Ball on the couch - and maybe a good movie to watch.  What are your plans for your weekend?  How was your Friday the 13th?
