Frenemies

Frenemies
The only thing I didn't like about wedding planning was other people; other people telling me what to do, impressing their opinions on me, other people not RSVPing and other people generally being rude. The planning process made me see who some of my real friends are, and also who liked me a lot more than I thought. I got some wonderful cards and gifts off of people I thought maybe didnt like me that much, and I got a face palm from others who I once considered to be good friends. I had no problem with people not attending the wedding, if they couldnt come, they couldnt come, I got it, I was the one that had put this day on a pedestal, not others. However, at least RSVP through the proper manner, not facebook. At least send me a card, at least ask me how the bloody wedding went, not carry on as if it didn't happen. This is what annoyed me the most. I have washed my hands of this person. I doubt they even know, I doubt they even care. I also have a mental list of who acted out of sorts on that day, perhaps showed their true colours. I also remember the only person who attended the wedding who didnt get us a gift. It may sound trivial but they should have given a card at least. It may all sound slightly petty, or you may be experiencing the same things yourself but whilst you are in this wedding bubble everything really does get to you a lot more, and these people did. I won't forget how they slightly tarnished the lead up to my wedding but I won't let it get in the way of a "friendship" for now,we are just frenemies.
