I use Alexa.com to check whether the websites that I network, refer, partner with, or make online buying or selling is authentic. However, do not depend on it completely. It is just a suggestive tool.
How do I check: Say, for instance, I'd like to integrate Paypal.com with my blog. But I want to know whether paypal website is authentic. I type alexa.com -->I type, www.paypal.com in the, "Enter a site" field and, "find". As of today, (30/03/2016) paypal.com has global rank of 39 and in the US, 19 which is pretty good, I feel.
