“To celebrate the anniversary, I wanted to look back through the treasure trove of Liberty history for motifs which best represented each of the fragrances in the collection,” says Frédéric Malle. And with the London department store’s 140 year archive of fabrics and wallpapers, there’s plenty of prints to pick from. Now 18 hand-selected motifs adorn the product’s packaging, a must-have gift for any Fédéric Malle fan this festive season.

Each of the 18 hand-selected prints pulled from the archives matches a perfume in the Frédéric Malle collection and has been used to create a limited series of boxes that illustrate the link between perfumes and color. This exclusive packaging is the perfect holiday gift for any Frédéric Malle fan and is available at Liberty and Frédéric Malle Editions de Parfum.

“My hope is that the viewer sees them as one, as if each design had been done specifically to illustrate each perfume. The 18th century design used for Portrait of a Lady epitomises the sophisticated grandeur of the fragrance while Lys Mediterranée conjures the bright, Mediterranean light that infuses the perfume. I am delighted to use this anniversary as the opportunity to unearth some truly magnificence design work from the late 1700’s to 1990, by merging our perfumes with Liberty’s patterned masterpieces.”
