Working on his first album (ESGN out July 16th) since leaving Jeezy’s CTE label, Freddie Gibbs is still going as hard as ever with “One Eighty Seven”. Even though the title implies this might be another brutal thug track akin to anything from 2011′s Cold Day In Hell it actually turns out to be a little bit closer to a party-rap track than Gibb’s previous gangsta offerings. Synonymous with murder, the number 187 is used here to describe girls Gibbs is currently pursuing while Compton-based rapper Problem offers a colorful verse with a monotonous flow to round things off.
